New email builder: Email templates
NOTE: In order to be able to send email directly from LGL, you must first enable the LGL email feature in your account.

Add a new email template
NOTE: This article explains how to create a standard email template, not an acknowledgment email template. Sending acknowledgments, whether through email or mail, is a unique and separate process because acknowledgments must be directly connected to gifts. Instructions on how to send acknowledgments are available here.
Once you have enabled LGL Email, go to Mailings > Templates, and click on Email Templates. To add a new email template, click Add template.
Now you can enter a name for your email template at the top of the page and a subject heading for the email you’re sending.
You can also select (or add) a category for the email, and the role-based access you’re allowing.
Create your email content
Write your email in the Email Content field provided, using the formatting options available. You can add multiple sections and format them all. Instructions for doing this are available here.
Save your email template
Now save your email template to make it available for use any time you create a new email.
Use your email template
To apply your template, create a new email. In Step 2 of the email builder, click the Apply template button and then make your selection.
You can also save an email template you’re working on for future use by clicking the Save as template button:
